Abstract

The objective of the present work is to explore how click chemistry has revolutionized the development of advanced therapeutic tools, with a focus on theranostic applications that simultaneously integrate therapy and diagnostics. This work seeks to analyze the use of non-canonical amino acids modified with azide groups to facilitate the precise conjugation of antibodies and drugs, allowing the selective release of drugs at specific sites through the antigen-antibody complex. It is also proposed to highlight the impact of this technology in improving the efficacy, potency and safety of personalized treatments, positioning click chemistry as an innovative solution in the pharmaceutical field.
